I am a fully qualified Integrative Art Therapist accredited by the HCPC having successfully worked with individuals and groups in both Statutory and non Statutory, Higher Education and private settings.

Therapy provides a safe, confidential space to process your thoughts and feelings about particular areas in your life that may be distressing or causing you problems.  I believe that each person’s lived experience is unique and whatever has brought you here today, has become a part of your history and way of being in the world.

By developing a shared understanding of your experiences, therapy can help you to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, recognise patterns and behaviours that have built up over time and provide options and opportunities for change, to view yourself and your life differently.  This can enable you to see your difficulties and challenges in a more manageable way.

Sometimes, words fail us and it is hard to really find a way to express the emotions we may feel. As I am trained to use the arts, we may explore the use metaphors, stories, imagination and imagery to capture these thoughts and feelings to support the therapeutic process and non-verbal communication. It is not required that you have any experience or knowledge in the arts and of course are not obliged to work with the arts should you wish not to.

Finding a therapist who can work with your individual needs is what will make the most difference in supporting the unique person that is you. Perhaps you are rushed off your feet and struggling to make time for yourself, or getting out of bed seems the hardest thing to do. However, making time for a session (potentially an online session) to give you the space you deserve, can be the small steps towards a more fulfilling path that is yours to walk, and I can walk with you for some of that journey.

Once we have established that working together is going to be beneficial, based on the issues which have brought you to therapy, we will co-create aims for the therapy journey to be of most help to you at this stage in your life.

We will discuss confidentiality and the contract and the number of sessions you would like, and agree the duration of therapy which is re-evaluated as needed.

We will use the therapy time and space to better understand your current issue and way of being in the world and work towards possible resolutions to the problems which you are facing.

I look forward to hearing from you.
