Integrative counsellorAbout Me
Managing to function but struggling to cope? It can help to talk freely and in confidence with someone whose life and relationships are separate from yours.
With impartial help to express yourself, unravel your thoughts and feelings and review your ideas, decisions and beliefs it becomes easier to make sense of what's happening. It then becomes possible to explore your needs/wishes/options and find a way through. Perhaps it's difficult to put into words whatever is troubling you - maybe I could help you to find them?
My introduction to counselling and psychotherapy was as a client thirty years ago. Now I help other people find their way through a wide range of life events and challenges, including: coronavirus (covid-19), anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, relationships, separation, divorce, loss, bereavement, redundancy, retirement, abuse, trauma, work-related stress and end-of-life issues.
Talking therapy is challenging - and making the first appointment can be daunting - but once you find someone with whom you feel safe enough it can also be interesting, enjoyable and liberating. If you think I might be able to help, you're welcome to request an Introductory Session. This allows us to get a sense of each other, discuss your needs and wishes and decide how best to proceed.
My Integrative Approach embraces Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Psychodynamic concepts, theories and practices - offering a variety of ways to explore, understand and respect the complexity, diversity and uncertainty of human experience.
