About Me

Penny has worked with children in a school setting for 20 years, 15 of which has been as a School Counsellor having trained with place2be initially. Penny continues to work part time in a school so has an enhanced DBS. Penny also has a background working with children with special needs having completed her level 5 post graduate diploma at Helen Arkell.

Penny has vast experience dealing with anxiety, anger, bereavement, family issues, PTSD and specializes in helping children with their confidence and self-esteem especially when faced with exams - 11+/13+. Penny has helped many children who are faced with challenging issues and she works creatively with the children through zoom and has a natural ability connecting with them so that they feel at ease when speaking with her.  Penny has a certificate in cognitive behavioural therapy and uses this method for the older children, Penny works with children aged from 7yrs - 16yrs online and sends packages through the post so the children can work creatively with her through zoom. Penny prefers to work online but is happy to meet her clients for an introductory session  in W11 or W3.
