Nigel Moyse Psychodynamic counsellor , OX2
Welcome to my bio! If you are looking for a warm, friendly, non-judgemental person who is also a good listener, you may have come to the right page. My chief aim initially would be to help you feel comfortable enough to talk about your issues as I fully believe that being heard is so important for all of us. But it goes deeper than this as the more you are able to talk, the more therapeutic benefit you are likely to be able to derive from the sessions.
As a therapist of over 10 years standing I have built up a range of strategies and techniques from varied disciplines to help you understand yourself better and help you deal with your issues/situation.
Originally trained in Psychodynamic psychotherapy, I have attended courses in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), SFBT (solution focused brief therapy) and coaching. I am also able to bring to your aid techniques, tools and ideas learned in various settings from workshops up and down the country to targeted reading to a BA (Hons) in psychology and a Masters in cognitive science. This may sound a bit dry, but I assure you that many of my clients have benefitted from this eclectic approach and several have come back for one or more top-up sessions over the years.
