Ksenia BelashIntegrative counsellor
As a holistic trauma-informed counsellor, therapist and body-mind healing guide, I am privileged to work with people from very different walks of life, circumstances and ages. Yet most of my clients share certain qualities and values that make us a particularly good fit: among them are an appreciation for gentleness, sensitivity, authenticity, free expression and depth. People, who this work is most suitable for, also bring a certain open-mindedness, willingness to explore their inner world, even when it gets uncomfortable.
In my work, I organically bring together elements of many different approaches that I have studied and experienced over the past six years, ranging from Gestalt to Somatic Experiencing, IFS, embodiment facilitation, relational mindfulness, authentic relating, somatic movement therapy, art therapy, family constellations and energy work, among others. I also have a specialisation in bereavement support and have volunteered for two years as a bereavement counsellor for the Royal Trinity Hospice.
However, it is the person in front of me, their needs and our relationship that always come first and determine the space I hold and the way in which I approach them and the issues they bring.
Rather than assuming a position of an expert, I allow myself to be part of the exploration process and invite the person I am guiding into a creative collaboration, in which we are both there to sense, explore and create the best conditions, bring the necessary resources and support the person's innate healing system to work its magic and guide us towards thriving, no matter how big the current challenge or issue is.
Working in this way often takes a lot of courage, but the results are worth it. People who work with me often mention how empowering it feels to take time to explore and be able to choose what feels right for them. This sense of empowerment, capacity to explore, choose and trust oneself in different life situations are there to stay as a solid inner foundation long after the therapy process is over.
So, from the very beginning of the process, I will invite you to join me in the intention to co-create a gentle healing space, where all parts of your experience can be fully feel, expressed, seen, understood and welcome, so that new perspectives, directions, resources and ways of being can emerge. I will keep inviting us both to keep slowing down and noticing what is happening and what might be needed, giving your experience all the space and nuanced care it deserves.
At the moment, I primarily work online and also offer outdoors sessions in the green areas of London. Please feel free to reach out for an introduction session that I am happy to offer at a reduced rate.
