Dr Katie Moizer Integrative psychologist , WF14
As a Clinical Psychologist I have a wide range of skills and knowledge to help people explore, understand and address their presenting difficulties. Understanding is key to my work. My primary aim is to help my clients understand why they are experiencing difficulty, while supporting them in identifying and trying different methods of coping. I often find that the 'understanding' part to my work proves most helpful to clients and, while acknowledging this process can be tricky for some, it is important my clients feel valued, contained and safe in our sessions together.
I have many years of experience working with children, adults and families. I have extensive experience working with a range difficulties including, stress, anxiety, anger, low mood, self-esteem, behaviour and relationships. In line with my training, I have skills and knowledge in several therapeutic approaches. This enables me, and therefore my clients, to select from a range of appropriate strategies, not only in view of presenting issue but personal preferences and circumstances.
