I have worked for 17 years in the NHS and for several mental health charities. I usually work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-criticism, shame, anger, dissociation, addiction, self-destructive tendencies, and much more. Such struggles often stem from the experience of multiple and complex life events and circumstances, including past and/or present abusive and neglectful relationships, abandonment, bereavement, bullying, trauma, racism, sexism, gender expectations, study/work/financial pressures, and/or more existential challenges such as finding meaning and purpose in life.
I offer a warm, nurturing space in which, collaboratively, we can explore and make sense of the difficulties you are facing. My doctoral level integrative training means I am skilled in the use of several therapeutic approaches, including CBT, psychodynamic, and existential models, and able to tailor my work to meet your specific needs. Primarily, my style is relational.
