Dr Jon-Paul MarshallIntegrative psychotherapist
I typically work with people facing an array of challenges, including anxiety, depression, anger, shame, guilt, self-criticism, addiction, dissociation, self-destructive tendencies, mistrust, commitment fears, and, ordinarily, much more besides. Such struggles often stem from multiple and complex life events and circumstances, including past and/or present abusive and neglectful relationships, abandonment, bereavement, bullying, trauma, racism, sexism, gender expectations, parenthood, study/work/financial pressures, and more existential challenges such as finding meaning and purpose in life.
I offer a warm, nurturing space in which, collaboratively, we can explore and make sense of difficulties you are facing. My doctoral level training in counselling psychology means I am skilled in working integratively, that is using several therapeutic approaches including systemic, internal family systems (IFS), psychodynamic, and existential models, and able to tailor my work to meet your specific needs. Primarily, my style is relational and contextual.
I am presently seeing clients in person as well as holding online sessions via Zoom and Skype. I also have a limited number of slots available for outdoor walking therapy in natural settings. Please contact me if you would like more information, preferably by email as I am mostly unavailable by phone.
I offer free initial (scheduled) phone consultations of up to 20 minutes. I also have a small number of discounted slots for those on lower incomes and students.
OnlineI also provide my services online.
