Jay Rai Cognitive behaviour therapy psychotherapist , EC2M
If you are looking for a therapy that goes beyond talk and focuses on long-term change, rather than continually reviewing your past, then my approach is for you. I work quickly and collaboratively to mobilise your strengths and resources to EMPOWER you to solve your own problems, by educating and actively integrating healthier strategies (including role playing through difficult situations). I offer short-term solution focussed empowerment therapy, designed to ensure that you develop the skills to create mastery over your own life. My overall aim is to help you become your own therapist.
I offer a FREE 20 minute initial Skype/FaceTime consultation where we can briefly discuss your requirements and how I might be able to help you. To learn more about this offer and my approach, as well as view recent client testimonials, please visit: www.mind-worthy.com
Why choose me:
I understand first-hand the pressures that we face with demanding careers whilst striving for work/life contentment. I moved from a successful career within investment management, thus my personal journey, education and experience informs the way I connect to, understand and ultimately help people facilitate lasting emotional and behavioural change.
I have built and shaped my reputation around the fundamental belief that everyone deserves an accomplished, highly-resourced and determined ally who can walk their talk and champion them when life inevitably gets tough.
How I work:
My immersive energy brings a very unique approach to traditional therapy. Simply put, my approach is specifically designed to:
1. Identify and work through the root cause(s)
2. Create and practice bespoke strategies
3. Implementation with guidance and support
This highly successful methodology utilises the latest scientific techniques to enable a swift solution that will transform your life. Ultimately, achieving a strong and confident long-term outlook. I am also a passionate advocate for mindfulness and regularly interweave this into our work.
Training and qualifications
Clinical expertise and education:
I have a strong background using integrative and person-centred therapeutic approaches within my private practices (Liverpool St, Oxford St, Battersea & online). In addition, I work with a private drug & alcohol rehabilitation clinic in Notting Hill where I support clients suffering with addiction (including severe anxiety, depression and mental/emotional abuse). Here I apply cutting edge intervention techniques (in addiction treatment) by facilitating group therapy and psycho educational workshops.
I also work in partnership with Battersea Yoga & Wellness studio as their dedicated Self-Empowerment Therapist, holding regular educational seminars and workshops in addition to private therapy sessions.
I completed my initial CBT & REBT training (with honours) with CCBT at Regents University in London, whilst gaining clinical experience working within one of the largest and most well established mental health service providers in the UK, the Priory clinic. I went on to train in person-centred and integrative approaches within the clinic and I am completing an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health with The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at Kings College London.
I have successfully treated a wide range of problems including, but not limited to:
• Emotional problems; including anxiety, depression, hurt, guilt, shame, anger, jealousy and envy
• Relationship issues; including workplace stress
• Addictions; including drug, alcohol, gambling, gaming, self harm, co-dependency and food addictions
• Lack of confidence and low self esteem
• Finding the motivation to make sustainable changes
• Bereavement and loss
