James is an integrative counsellor with a Masters in Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy and a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience. He has worked with addiction in a range of different settings such as drug and alcohol detox, mental health, homelessness, stimulant treatment program and an addiction information phone line.

As an integrative therapist he uses psycho-education as a way of explaining what is going on in the mind and how that manifests in emotions and actions. James combines this with Motivational Interviewing, Narrative and relational approaches within a non-judgmental perspective, whereby he explores alternative ways of finding happiness and motivation in life.
