About Me

I am a friendly, experienced integrative relational therapist and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My integrative relational approach has at its very core the belief that it is through the quality of the relationship we co-create that we can work collaboratively to meet your needs. I believe everyone needs to be listened to, and valued as, the unique individual they are. I listen carefully to you in order to gain an understanding of you in your world and tailor the work to suit you and your preferred way of working; you lead and set the pace to make the positive changes in your life. Together we will explore strategies that may help you to cope with particularly challenging situations or feelings.

My way of working is informed by the principles of the  Person-Centred Approach which is focused on me being honest, non-judgmental and fully accepting of you and what you bring. Cognitive behavioural therapy explores the links between your thoughts, feelings and actions. Through psychodynamic work lifelong patterns can be recognised and understood; self-awareness of one’s internal world and self-acceptance leads to increased confidence and self belief.

I am a trained counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Care

In addition to my work in private practice I am a counsellor and supervisor for the mental health charity Mind.

I am currently working entirely online and by phone and have training and experience in these methods.
