Graham Johnston Integrative psychotherapist , SE4
My approach is based on significant developments from the last few decades, which show how intimate relationships filled with stress, neglect and trauma can cause damaging responses such as anger, fear, withdrawal, depression and anxiety. Crucially, I am trained to help undo those responses through a relationship with you where it feels safe enough to explore your fears, pains and anxieties.
I am experienced in helping those with trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions and intimacy issues. I particularly love working with young adults and couples struggling to make their relationships work. As well as face-to-face sessions, I offer online video and email sessions using encrypted software.
Training and qualifications
I trained for four years in cutting-edge, contemporary attachment theory and neuroscience at The Bowlby Centre. I am a member of The Bowlby Centre and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am insured by the Psychologists' Protection Society.
I charge £30 for introductory sessions of fifty minutes, where we get to know one another and discuss why you might want therapy, and how we might work together. Following sessions would be £60 and fifty minutes long. For couples, I also offer 75 minute sessions for £90. I have a limited number of low-cost places for those on low incomes.
