About Me

Hello, my name is Liz. I'm a psychotherapist offering daytime appointments in London Victoria (Tuesdays only) and online via Zoom or WhatsApp Video. I also offer sessions by telephone.

If you are struggling to cope with distressing emotions or circumstances, I can help by providing a private, safe place where together we can explore the roots of your difficulties and enable you to move towards positive change.

Even if you have supportive family and friends, it can sometimes be hard to talk to them about very personal feelings. Many people find that talking about their difficulties with a trained therapist, who is completely independent of their circumstances, is very beneficial. I have helped many people who were struggling with the following types of difficulties:

- anxiety
- relationship difficulties
- low self-esteem
- unwanted patterns of behaviour
- coping after separation or divorce
- persistent low mood or sadness
- bereavement
- difficulty forming or keeping personal relationships
- trauma
- other challenging life situations or changes.

In our sessions I will listen closely, without judgement, to what you are telling me about your circumstances, experiences and feelings. Together we will explore the roots of your difficulties, and I will help you to clarify and understand any complex underlying emotions.

My role will not be to give advice or tell you what to do. Our sessions will help you to see things more clearly and perhaps from a different perspective. Understanding yourself better will enable you to make positive changes in your life, find your own answers and strengthen your ability to cope.

Before training and practising as a therapist, I worked for more than 12 years in marketing and business development in the property and professional services industries. I therefore understand some of the stresses and strains of corporate life and the difficulties that may arise from trying to balance work with other important aspects of your life.

I have previously worked at the University of Roehampton, providing short-term counselling to students. I also provided long-term therapy to clients at the Wimbledon Guild and have worked as a telephone adviceline counsellor for an Employee Assistance Provider.

Training and qualifications

I have an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from Middlesex University.

‘Integrative’ means that my training included a number of different therapeutic approaches, (e.g. psychodynamic, person-centred, relational, CBT, gestalt). When working with you I will draw upon the most appropriate approach according to your individual needs.
