About Me

My priority is to create a safe space in which you feel comfortable in talking about things that may have been difficult to think about or express before. From a relationship of trust and confidence, we can un-knot and explore your experiences and feelings, helping you to bring light to life’s difficulties and find a way to make sense of them, hold them differently and reconnect to the vitality of life.

In the current Covid-19 crisis, I can offer support and space to reflect over the phone or Zoom. Each medium has its own benefits and we can explore both to help you decide which one feels right for you. Once restrictions have lifted, we can continue to work together remotely, or transition to face-to-face appointments in South London.

About me and my practice

I am currently in my third year of training towards a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling. My training and clinical experience covers psychodynamic, humanistic and existential schools. This enables me to draw on a range of theories and approaches to develop a way of working that will suit you and your unique experience.

I bring experience of working with a diverse client group from two ongoing clinical placements;

•    University counsellor – areas of focus include anxiety, eating disorders, depression, relational difficulties, self-esteem issues, identity issues, diversity and stress.

•    NHS psychotherapist specialising in trauma and working with adult survivors of rape, sexual abuse and violence.

My clinical experience includes working with a wide range of issues such as:

•       Relationship problems

•       Depression

•       Anxiety

•       Loneliness and difficulty connecting with others

•       Stress

•       Lack of confidence and low self esteem

•       Abuse and trauma (past and/or present)

•       Coming to terms with illness

•       Addiction

•       Identity

•       Eating disorders and body image

•       Loss of meaning to life

•       Difficulty coming to terms with significant events

I am registered with both the the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy as a trainee psychotherapist working towards accreditation, and draw on regular supervision from experienced practitioners to ensure the best for each and every client. I abide by the professional Code of Ethics of UKCP, BACP and Regent’s University.

If you would like to learn more and get a sense of whether I am the right counsellor for you, I offer an initial, free 30 minute consultation. In this, we can discuss what you would like to get out of therapy, I’ll give you a sense of my approach and style and answer any questions you may have.
