Amy HutsonPerson-centred/humanistic counsellor
Hi, I'm Amy and I help people make the changes they need to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
After benefiting from my own counselling growing up, I decided to train as a counsellor to help other people who might be struggling with emotional difficulties.
If you’ve not been to counselling before, it can feel a bit daunting opening up to a stranger. Counselling is a bit like a helping conversation with someone who offers honesty, empathy and acceptance. I'm here to help you explore whatever it is you are struggling with and would like to change. That might be feeling less anxious or depressed or it could be help with feeling less stuck in a situation you’re no longer happy with.
I enjoy seeing how people can face their difficulties and learn to move on and lead happier lives after counselling.
"I have really enjoyed our sessions and can't tell you how much better I feel."
"Amy was really easy to talk to right from the start and has a very gentle but friendly approach. I felt like I could say anything without feeling judged and often had moments of being able to see things differently thanks to her questions and the way she listened."
"I have learnt a lot about myself in a short amount of time so I thank you and appreciate it so much!"
