About Me

Hello.  I am an experienced, trained and registered psychodynamic psychotherapist based in London.  I offer face to face and online 16 session and open ended psychotherapy.  Currently working on line due to the Pandemic but hoping that we can come back to face to face in the new year.

I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in 2012, which is a specialist in psychotherapy training and treatment.  I qualified as a psychodynamic psychotherapist in 2017.  I worked as a full time substantive member of staff in the adult complex needs department of the Tavistock as a psychotherapist from 2016 to 2020 when I decided to work privately.   The adult complex needs service is a busy and highly commended and celebrated NHS psychotherapy service that receives referrals from all over London and the country.

I have 24 years experience in mental health and in the last eight years developed highly specialist skills, experience and knowledge in working with trauma, group psychotherapy and individual psychotherapy work (both brief work and open ended).  I have worked with many people with a variety of problems such as depression, grief, trauma, relational difficulties, problems progressing in life, anxiety, somatic complaints and problems finding happiness and freedom from an often difficulty history in which they feel trapped.  I have extensive risk management and risk planning experience and pride myself in being able to work at creating the safest environment, while providing a space to grow.

I am often complimented on my professionalism and compassion, which I hold as the corner stone of my work. I try at all times to provide an open, confidential and welcoming space to explore together the difficulties you may be experiencing.

I believe that starting in therapy is a difficult decision to make.  It is important that from the start that I build the trust that I am keeping you in mind and thinking together about what might be helpful for you.

I work in a way that tries to create for you a safe place to explore with me how you are feeling and why that might be.  I look forward to the start of your journey towards a better mental health.
