Dr Ajay Khandelwal Psychoanalytic psychotherapist , W1W
I am a psychotherapist with over 25 years experience in the mental health field. I have comfortable consulting rooms in clinics in SE1 and W1.
I read PPE at Christ Church College Oxford, and have an MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of Essex. I am a psychoanalytical psychotherapist - and am well versed in all the main schools of thinking and helping - I have extensive experience of working with individuals, groups and families from government, financial, artistic, commercial, scientific and legal backgrounds. I am the Clinical Director of London Psychotherapy service. My PhD thesis focussed on intergenerational family dynamics and how conscious and unconscious family scripts influence individual life paths.
I am therefore able to work with couples to understand their individual and personal couple dynamics as well as situating them within their respective intergenerational family dynamics. This often throws light on issues of addiction, sexuality, money, work, and many other areas.
Through a more explicit understanding how how couples follow specific family scripts, it is possible for couples to consciously reappraise how the relate to one another and how the co-create their own unique family system.
I have just opened up some new consultation times on weekend. Please make an appointment if you'd like to find out if we can work together, or send me an email, or call me.
