Dr Ajay Khandelwal Psychoanalytic psychotherapist , SE1
I have over 25 years experience of working in mental health with both men and women. My first job was working in a therapeutic community for adults who had moved out of long term psychiatric hospitals and experienced severe and enduring psychosis. I have also run a large drug and alcohol treatment service and have several years experience of working with all forms of addictions. I am the clinical director of a London psychotherapy service and have experience of working with people with a range of difficulties. I am currently working with early and mid career high achieving professionals experiencing extreme anxiety in and out of work. I work with both the aim of reducing immediate symptoms, as well as exploring underlying issues. I am happy to speak over the phone to discuss if we could work together.
I am an honorary psychotherapist at the Guild of Psychotherapy low fee clinic and the Islington Mind Psychosis project.
Training and qualifications
I have completed a four year intensive training in adult psychoanalytical psychotherapy training at the Guild of Psychotherapists. This included seeing patients twice weekly for two years. I am a registered member of the BACP.
