Adrienne Kirk Integrative psychotherapist , EN2
I specialise in working with clients who are dealing with loss, particularly
Termination of pregnancy
Diagnosis of foetal abnormality
loss of a loved one/bereavement
I have also worked with clients who have had a diagnosis that has changed their view of themselves and their future, with people who have been made redundant and who have retired and lost their sense of purpose.
It can be very difficult to talk about these issues, others do not know what to say to you, and the loss can be very traumatic. It can be a great relief to speak to someone non-judgmental, who really listens and can understand the world from your perspective.
It may be helpful to reflect, explore and examine your life with an approachable, experienced and understanding therapist. This is where I can help. Together we can make sense of your situation and find a path through. There can be a fear of shame or failure in asking for help, or showing vulnerability. I can support you in your courageous step to ask for help and walk alongside you as we explore your experiences.
Training and qualifications
I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent's University of London, work in a charity supporting clients who have issues with pregnancy, and have a private practice. I also have a Masters in Health Psychology and worked for many years supporting struggling students in a prestigious London medical school.
My fees are £40 per daytime session, and £50 for evenings and Saturday appointments.
I also offer concessions under certain circumstances.
