Zoë Sanders Psychodynamic psychotherapist , N19
Notice regarding COVID-19: I am currently offering online and telephone counselling sessions at a reduced rate.
The current crisis is anxiety provoking and as a result people are feeling that they would benefit from the support of counselling, now more than ever. However, for many people the virus has resulted in additional financial pressures at a time when they are most in need. Since governments have advised we remain isolated with the people we live with, our relationships have been put under increasing strain. It may be that you are self-isolating alone or you are finding it challenging to share a space with your partner, extended family or flat-mates.
As a result, I am offering online sessions to new clients at £40 (for individuals) and £50 (for couples) to support people during this difficult time.
I'm a qualified relationship counsellor and psychotherapist, so I help couples and individuals to navigate more rewarding relationships. I am able to improve how you communicate and establish more clarity around how you are feeling and behaving, with the view to improving the relationships with the people closest to you. I also offer parenting support for parents, co-parents and single parents.
My clients bring a variety of subjects they want to talk through, including low mood, depression, stress, anxiety, low self-confidence, communication problems and a general sense of dissatisfaction. Many of them are struggling to find a relationship or have repeated unsuccessful relationships with the people closest to them. I see individuals and couples that are looking to improve their relationships, considering taking their relationship to the next level or who are thinking about separation or are already separated. I have experience working with same-sex couples and clients from a broad range of cultural backgrounds.
I favour a style of therapy that is active and fluid to respond to your unique, shifting needs. I am client-led, so I’ll work alongside you to explore the parts of yourself that will enable you to overcome the difficulties you're experiencing. I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to think and talk about what is going on for you.
What to expect
We'd initially have a brief free telephone conversation to establish if we'd like to meet, before having an introductory consultation where we'd meet to discuss if weekly sessions might be helpful for you.
If you're unsure if psychotherapy is right for you, please give me a call to discuss any concerns or queries you have.
