About me

Hello, I'm Sarah, a BACP Accredited psychotherapist offering warm, collaborative and down-to-earth therapy. I work with adults experiencing the effects of childhood trauma, difficult or abusive relationships, narcissistic abuse, low self-worth, anxiety, overwhelm and difficulties with identity and boundaries. I also have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients, including people who are exploring or have received a later-life diagnosis of autism or ADHD. My approach is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed and person-centred. As a pluralistic therapist, I don't believe there is one therapeutic approach that works for everyone. Instead, we'll work together to understand what you need from therapy and find ways of working that feel useful and meaningful to you. You may have spent years adapting yourself to other people's expectations, masking your difficulties or simply trying to keep everything together. Therapy can provide a space where you don't have to do that. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where you can explore your experiences, understand yourself more fully and begin to make changes that feel right for you. I particularly welcome autistic and ADHD clients, including those who are questioning or coming to understand their neurodivergence later in life. I also warmly welcome clients from LGBTQ+ communities and people of all faiths, cultures, backgrounds and identities. My aim is not to tell you who you should be, but to help you understand yourself, your experiences and your needs - and to support you in moving towards a life that feels more authentically yours.
