About me
I looked for a counsellor myself long before I trained to be one, so I know how daunting it can feel to reach out and take that first step. I offer fifty minutes a week that belong entirely to you - no advice, no judgement, no fixing, because you're not broken. That's what I offer as a person-centred, humanistic counsellor working with adults facing trauma, anxiety, identity and LGBTQIA+ experience, as well as bereavement, life transitions and low mood. Sessions are led by what you bring, not a fixed method. I sometimes draw on creative, non-verbal ways in, such as drawing or sand tray work, where they're helpful, but mostly it's about giving you the space and time to be properly heard. I hold a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from the University of Chichester along with a Certificate in Working with Trauma. I'm a BACP Individual Member, fully supervised, insured and DBS-checked, with ongoing CPD an important part of how I develop as a practitioner. You can see me in person from my private annexe near Midhurst, with an uninterrupted view of the South Downs, or online, so I can also work with clients across Chichester, Petersfield, Liphook and Haslemere. A free introductory conversation is available so we can see if we're a good fit before you commit to anything. Please visit my website and learn more about me, and exactly what Person-Centred Counselling is.
