About me

I am  a counselling psychologist, with over 25 years of experience.   I have worked in private practice for four years, previously working in the NHS, and voluntary, organisational and educational sectors as a Counselling Psychologist and in management.    I aim to  offer you a safe confidential space where  we can work together on any aspects of your life that are troubling you.    I have experience in working with people who have depression, anxiety, panic, low mood, feeling emotionally overwhelmed,  low motivation and lethargy, failing to flourish, stress,  grieving, workplace problems, trauma,  and childhood or relationships difficulties.  You might have  past or present experiences  affecting you, or you might feel confused in knowing what the problem might be or where to begin.   It can feel hard to find our way forward from difficult circumstances, events, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors on our own.   I will be alongside you, without judgement nor expectation, to listen and help you to have greater understanding of what might be causing your difficulties,  so you can identify what you can change, how you can make changes, and how you might manage what you cannot change.   I offer an initial conversation without charge, for you to meet with me and for us to think about what is bringing you to counselling, and decide if further meetings would be the most helpful way forward for you.  If we decide that something else might be more helpful I will advise you on where you might seek that help.   I also offer supervision to qualified counsellors and facilitate reflective practice groups for counsellors, counselling psychologists and psychotherapists.
