About me
Perhaps you've found yourself here because you're exhausted from holding everything together. You may be struggling with anxiety that won't switch off, feeling overwhelmed by overthinking, self-doubt or people-pleasing. You might be experiencing low mood, feeling disconnected from yourself, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or wondering why you keep reacting in ways you don't fully understand. Or perhaps you're facing one of life's more complex transitions: trying to conceive, navigating fertility treatment, coping with infertility, recovering from pregnancy loss, adjusting to pregnancy, or finding that parenthood feels very different from what you expected. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and feel less alone with it. I provide warm, collaborative therapy that is shaped around you and your unique circumstances. Together, we can explore difficult emotions, recurring patterns, relationship challenges, life transitions and experiences from the past that may still be influencing how you feel today. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, develop greater self-compassion, and find ways forward that feel authentic and sustainable. Many people come to therapy feeling that they should be coping better than they are. Often, they have spent years looking after others while neglecting their own needs, pushing difficult feelings aside, or trying to think their way out of emotional pain. Therapy provides an opportunity to approach yourself with curiosity rather than criticism and to understand what lies beneath the symptoms, worries or struggles that brought you here. Alongside talking therapy, I work in a way that recognises the connection between mind and body. Anxiety, stress, grief and emotional distress are often experienced physically as well as emotionally. Where helpful, I may incorporate gentle approaches such as breathwork, guided meditation and body-awareness practices to help you feel more grounded, manage overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with yourself. I have particular experience supporting people with: • Depression, low mood and loss of confidence • Fertility challenges, infertility and IVF treatment • The emotional impact of trying to conceive • Pregnancy loss, miscarriage and reproductive grief • Pregnancy and the transition to parenthood • Perinatal mental health difficulties • Stress, burnout and feeling overwhelmed • Somatic symptoms and the impact of emotional distress on the body • Life transitions and difficult life experiences • Questions of identity, purpose and self-worth Alongside my private practice, I work as a Fertility Counsellor, supporting individuals and couples through the emotional realities of fertility treatment, donor conception and family-building journeys. I am an accredited integrative psychotherapist with a Master's degree in Integrative Counselling. I am professionally accredited by both the BACP and NCPS, and I am a registered member of BICA, the professional association for infertility counselling. I offer therapy in South Norwood and online, creating a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace.
