About me

I am an integrative psychotherapist, fully accredited with the UKCP. I am also a registered general nurse and a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. I have a particular interest in the relationship between the mind and the body, particularly when one system or other is under strain. I have extensive experience in palliative care, both as a nurse and a psychotherapist. I also have over fifteen years of specialist clinical experience working with victims of abuse. I believe that trauma and loss or bereavement are inextricably linked and I believe that the myriad of ways in which we process trauma and loss is strongly influenced by our early life experiences. I place great value on the healing potential of the therapeutic relationship and the shared exploration of aspects of life that can be too painful to fully heal alone. I believe that a therapeutic journey can be both challenging and deeply enriching. I have worked overseas in Uganda and India and I also work as an expert witness in cases of abuse and gender based violence.
