About me

I'm Katie — a BABCP and BACP Accredited CBT Therapist and counsellor with over 15 years of experience across the NHS, university counselling, and private practice. I'm based in King's Heath, Birmingham, and I work with people in person, online across the UK, and in walk-and-talk sessions in Kings Heath Park. I have two areas of specialist focus. The first is supporting people on weight loss medications — Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic — with the psychological complexity that often accompanies that journey. The physical changes happen quickly; the inner world takes much longer to catch up. Identity shifts, a changed relationship with food, anxiety about the future, grief — these experiences are common, rarely talked about, and very treatable with the right support. The second is working with anxiety, burnout, and significant life transitions — the moments when what used to work stops working, and you need something more than willpower to move forward. I'm warm, direct, and practically focused. CBT is an active approach — we build tools together, not just insight. I offer a free 15-minute consultation, no referral needed.
