About me
There can be a lot of pressure to just get on with life – working, coping, keeping everyone else happy. I provide a place where you can put that aside and untangle things for yourself. I work with people coming to counselling for all sorts of reasons, with particular experience in stress and burnout, anxiety, addictive behaviours, grief and loss, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I believe you have the capacity to find your own way, even when that might feel difficult to imagine. My role isn't to analyse you or tell you what to do, but to work alongside you with warmth and curiosity as we explore whatever you're facing. The relationship we build is at the heart of how I work. I'll listen carefully, ask questions and try to understand what life is like for you. I might share something I'm noticing, offer a different perspective or bring in an idea that seems useful. Other times, you might simply need space to talk and be heard. I took the scenic route to becoming a therapist, after years running my own business and working in tech. I've also spent a fair bit of time meditating and have always loved being outdoors (the wilder the better!). If you’re thinking about counselling, have a question, or just want to explore whether we might work well together, I’d love to hear from you. I welcome people of all backgrounds and identities, including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients.
