About me
My practice is relational and integrative, meaning that I incorporate a range of evidence-based and humanistic approaches, including psychodynamic, Gestalt, parts work informed by Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems and Structural Dissociation, somatic therapy, and EMDR. I work with you as a whole person who has thoughts, feelings, and sensations, not as a set of symptoms. I'm particularly experienced in developmental and attachment trauma: the kind that doesn't always show up as a single event, but as deep-rooted patterns in how we feel about ourselves and how we move through our relationships and the world. I also work with overwhelm and burnout, and with neurodivergence — including ADHD, AuDHD, Autism, and high sensitivity (HSP). One of my more specialist areas is immersive or 'maladaptive' daydreaming, which many people struggle to find a therapist with real knowledge of. I am to provide an anti-oppressive practice: trauma-informed, GSRD- and LGBTQIA+-affirming, anti-racist, and neurodivergent-aware. I have lived experience of both trauma and neurodivergence. Therapy with me tends to be medium- to long-term, though we'll find our own pace together. I offer a free 20-minute initial chat so you can get a sense of whether I feel right for you — there's no obligation and no pressure.

Training and qualifications
Postgraduate Advanced Diploma (Level 7) in Integrative Psychotherapy (Welsh Psychotherapy Institute), accredited by the UKCP. Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling (Counselling Tutor), accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. Postgraduate Advanced Diploma (Level 7) Senior Practitioner in Coaching (Therapist to Coach Ltd), accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC Global). Certificate in Clinical Supervision (Metanoia Institute), which meets both UKCP and BACP requirements for supervision. EMDR Standard Training (near completion, approved by EMDR Europe Association). My integrative training incorporated psychodynamic and developmental therapy, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and personality adaptations, somatic and body psychotherapy, and parts work. My continuing professional development has deepened this foundation considerably. I have trained extensively in trauma, including complex, developmental, and attachment trauma, with some of the field's leading practitioners, among them Kathy Steele, Richard G. Erskine, Christiane Sanderson, and Babette Rothschild. I have undertaken the IFS Institute's IFC Online Circle with Richard C. Schwartz. Further CPD has focused on working with neurodivergent adults, the inner critic and shame, the Highly Sensitive Person, and relational depth in therapy. I have published as both a historian and a psychotherapist, contributed to CPD training for qualified and trainee therapists, have provided CPD to counsellors, psychotherapists and organisations, and have been a psychotherapy trainer including serving as Core Tutor and Programme Leader at the Welsh Psychotherapy Institute.
