About me

The Reality of High Performance You may be successful on paper, leading a team, or managing a business, but privately struggling to switch off. The pressure to perform can lead to anxiety, burnout, and a sense of losing yourself in the role. I am a Relational Psychotherapist (UKCP), Transactional Analyst, and Executive Coach specialising in helping professionals navigate these challenges. My Background: Bridging the Corporate & Clinical Worlds What sets my practice apart is my dual background. Before retraining in psychotherapy, I trained as a Solicitor-Advocate and spent over 18 years in Human Resources and Organisational Development within the Financial Services sector. I understand the corporate world from the inside out. I know the unique pressures of leadership, the weight of performance anxiety, and the complexities of redundancy and career transition. You won't have to spend sessions explaining the context of your work stress—I already get it. How I Work: Neuroscience & Transactional Analysis I combine this practical experience with deep clinical training. I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in the Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health, which allows me to work with you on two levels: The Biological: Understanding how your nervous system reacts to stress and how to regulate it. The Psychological: Using Transactional Analysis (TA) to uncover the unconscious "scripts" and drivers (like "Be Perfect" or "Work Hard") that may be fueling your burnout. I pay particular attention to relational dynamics, helping you make links between "back then" (your past) and "out there" (your current work/life struggles). My Practice I work with individuals and couples in person and online throughout Hertfordshire, London, the UK, and internationally. Whilst I work with a broad range of presentations, I have specific expertise in: Stress, Burnout, and Anxiety. Work-related issues (Leadership, Imposter Syndrome, Career changes). Relationship dynamics. I am committed to ethical, non-discriminatory practice and welcome individuals of all cultures, faiths, and sexual orientations. On a personal note, I am half English and half Maltese, born and raised in London. This blend of cultural and professional backgrounds helps me bring a grounded, practical stance to psychological ideas, ensuring our work is not just "theory," but a partnership that creates real change.
