About me

Sometimes you can look like you are coping, holding everything together for everyone else, and still feel anxious, exhausted, or quietly stuck. You might notice the same painful patterns repeating: in your relationships, in your work, and in how you see and treat yourself. Often these patterns run beneath the surface, and no amount of trying harder seems to shift them. I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and Transactional Analyst. My work goes beneath the symptom to understand where these patterns began and how they still shape you now, so that real, lasting change becomes possible, not just managing how you feel week to week, but genuinely moving beyond it. How I work: I believe real and lasting change happens when we understand both the mind and the body. My approach brings together the depth of psychodynamic and relational therapy with Transactional Analysis and an understanding of the neuroscience of mental health. Understanding your patterns: We often live by internalised rules formed early in life, such as "be perfect" or "work harder," or by ways of relating shaped by our earliest attachments. Together we explore how these unconscious patterns affect your life now, and help you reclaim the freedom to choose how you respond. Working with the nervous system: Under sustained pressure, the body can get stuck in hyper-vigilance or a kind of functional freeze. We work to help your nervous system move out of survival mode and back toward a sense of safety, clarity, and connection. Who I work with: I work with individuals and couples, in person and online, across Hertfordshire, London, and throughout the UK. I offer a space that is both emotionally safe and intellectually engaging, with particular experience in: Anxiety, stress, and burnout: moving from exhaustion toward a more sustainable way of living. Relationship and attachment patterns: understanding why the same dynamics keep repeating, and finding new ways to relate. Self-worth and the inner critic: easing the relentless internal pressure to perform, and the imposter feelings that come with it. Trauma and life transitions: finding your footing through change, loss, or difficult periods, and making sense of the past where it still holds you. Our first session is a full intake and assessment, a chance to understand what brings you here and to see whether we are the right fit to work together. I am committed to ethical, non-discriminatory practice and warmly welcome individuals of all cultures, faiths, and sexual orientations. On a personal note, I am half English and half Maltese, born and raised in London. This blend of cultural and professional backgrounds helps me bring a grounded, practical stance to psychological ideas, so that our work is never just theory, but a genuine partnership that creates lasting change.
