About me
Hi, I'm Daniela, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience working with people navigating the complexities of intimacy, identity, and relationships. What draws me to the work I do is the privilege of being able to create and share a space where people can feel genuinely heard and feel listened to in order for them to be able to explore what it means to be themselves. My aim always is to do that attentively- with an open ear and heart. I find it the greatest privilege to share space with clients- to walk alongside them and bear witness to their inner world. I am grateful to be invited in, for however long that might be, and I take seriously the trust that comes with being allowed into the depths of someone's life- often further than anyone else has been. That responsibility shapes everything about how I work. I will be honest with you, and sometimes challenging. Sometimes we will go to difficult places. But I will always be right beside you, and somewhere in there, there will be lightness too. What I'm interested in is helping you become a more authentic version of yourself, not a fixed or finished version, but a freer one. My therapeutic work is grounded in existential-phenomenological psychology with a strong relational focus. This means I'm interested in your lived experience and the meaning you make of your life and relationships, rather than diagnosing symptoms or applying standardised techniques. I work from a sex-positive perspective that welcomes all gender identities and sexual orientations, creating a non-judgmental space to explore whatever you bring. I take a fairly active approach in sessions - reflecting, asking questions, and engaging in dialogue with you rather than remaining silent. My aim is to help you explore your experience from different angles, gently challenge assumptions when helpful, and support you in seeing patterns you might not recognise on your own. That said, the content and pace are always led by you. I am deeply dedicated to this work and would be honoured to walk alongside you on this path of discovery.
