About me
Coming to counselling for the first time can feel daunting and often requires courage. As a highly experienced therapist, I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore difficult emotions, gain deeper insight, and begin to move forward at your own pace. You may be seeking support due to a separation or loss, or perhaps you are experiencing depression, anxiety, or relationship difficulties. For some, it is the impact of past trauma that feels overwhelming, while for others it may be a more general sense of dissatisfaction or a search for greater meaning and fulfilment in life. Whatever has brought you here, working with an experienced counsellor can provide valuable support and clarity. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic counselling, a therapeutic process that focuses on the relationship between client and therapist. Together, we will explore patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and relationships, helping to uncover underlying influences and gently challenge what may be holding you back. Through this collaborative work, we aim to foster greater self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change. I appreciate that finding the right counsellor is important. We can discuss in our initial meeting what you would like to achieve from counselling and if you feel able and comfortable for us to work together. I work with adults on a short or long-term basis. We can decide together what might be most appropriate.
