About me
Many clients come to therapy wanting to change how they feel, control their thoughts, or—in the case of couples therapy—change their partner’s behaviour. While we can’t control our feelings or fully manage our thoughts, we can become more aware of them. Most importantly, we can change how we behave—and in doing so, we can transform the way we relate to ourselves and others. In relationships, we can’t control our partner’s actions, but we can influence the quality of the interaction by taking responsibility for our own part in it. My approach to therapy is grounded in helping clients make meaningful, lasting changes through greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, and behavioural choice. I specialise in working with reflective, intellectually engaged adults—therapists, academics, writers, and professionals—navigating life transitions, identity questions, or feeling emotionally or creatively blocked. My psychodynamic approach, grounded in British Psychoanalytic traditions, supports deep, lasting change. I also work with couples seeking to understand recurring conflict, emotional distance, or communication breakdown. Together, we explore unconscious patterns to help partners reconnect in meaningful ways. Common themes include midlife regret, anxiety about ageing, cultural dislocation, perfectionism, intimacy struggles, and the search for meaning beyond achievement. If you feel stuck or ready for deeper understanding and change, I invite you to get in touch.
