About me
If you're reading this, you've already taken a brave step, whether this is your first time in therapy or you're finding your way back to it. My name is Albane. Before being a therapist, I am above all a human being, and I know how much courage it takes to find the right person, and how much difference it makes when you do. I am a CBT therapist with additional training in person-centred, functional analytic and acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as a background in neuroscience (MSc in Brain and Mind Sciences, UCL; MSc in Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy with Distinction, Goldsmiths). I work with anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex PTSD, OCD, social anxiety, stress, complex trauma, and neurodivergent profiles. I bring clinical training and evidence-based tools, but also genuine curiosity and warmth, and I tailor everything to you, because no two people are the same. I've worked across private practice, university counselling (Queen Mary University of London), and charitable settings supporting underserved communities (Power to Live), alongside clinical research including work as a screening assessor on a UCL psilocybin clinical trial. This has given me experience with a wide range of presentations, including complex and high-risk presentations, and a grounding in safeguarding and crisis support. I grew up in France, lived in Brazil and Switzerland, and have been in the UK for ten years. I work in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish, and warmly welcome clients from international, multicultural, or neurodivergent backgrounds. At the moment, I'm working online only. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to go through it alone. Practice description In our sessions, we will work collaboratively: making sense of what's going on, exploring how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours connect, and working on whatever patterns or beliefs might be getting in the way. I won't rush you or judge you, and I will be honest with you, including when that means a gentle challenge.
