About me

Taking the step to start therapy can feel significant, whether you are navigating a specific life challenge or simply feeling stuck and looking to understand yourself better. I’m a qualified CBT therapist offering a confidential, compassionate space where you can explore and understand better your thoughts and feelings without judgement. My goal is to work collaboratively alongside you - helping you process difficult experiences, gain clarity, and develop practical strategies to move forward with confidence. When we face difficulties, the way we think about a situation directly influences how we feel and act. Unhelpful patterns of thoughts and behaviours can trap up in cycles of anxiety, stress, or low mood that feel impossible to break alone. I offer structured, practical, and collaborative CBT to help you understand these cycles and make meaningful changes in your daily life. Together, we will focus on exploring what is keeping your problem going in the present, equipping you with concrete tools to overcome obstacles and build lasting psychological resilience. I offer short-term treatment of approximately 12 sessions. Areas of Practice I specialise in treating adults dealing with: * Anxiety Disorders: Generalised anxiety (GAD), panic attacks, health anxiety, and social anxiety.
 * Self-esteem and critical voice: helping you to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and develop self-compassion, assertiveness * Low Mood & Depression: Overcoming fatigue, lack of motivation, and negative self-talk.
 * Phobias & OCD: with exposure and behavioural experiment strategies.
*Stress & Burnout: managing stress, perfectionism and focusing on developing wellbeing strategies and coping mechanisms Therapeutic Approach My practice is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): * Collaborative & Goal-Focused: We establish clear, actionable goals for therapy right from the start.
 * Practical Tool-Building: Learning techniques like cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and mindfulness to manage distress independently.
 * Present-Focused Strategy: While acknowledging past history, our primary focus remains on how your current thoughts and actions shape your present experience.
