About me

Sometimes, life can look fine on the outside while things feel very different on the inside. You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself or unsure about what you need. Perhaps your confidence or self-esteem has changed, you're struggling with something from your past, or you're going through a period of change that feels difficult to navigate. Whatever has brought you here, you don't need to have everything figured out before asking for support. I'm a qualified psychotherapist and experienced coach, and I've been supporting adults since 2019. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, talk openly and begin to make sense of what you're experiencing. I work with a range of concerns including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, confidence, trauma, identity, phobias, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties and life transitions. I also support people who simply feel stuck or know that something needs to change but aren't quite sure where to begin. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on you and what you need. This includes CBT, psychodynamic, interpersonal, mindfulness-based and solution-focused approaches. Some people come to me wanting focused support around a particular issue, while others want longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns, relationships, experiences or emotions. Alongside psychotherapy, I also offer coaching for those looking for support with emotional wellbeing, resilience, personal growth, confidence and personal or professional development. I don't believe therapy should be about trying to “fix” you. It's about creating a space where you can feel heard, understood and supported to develop a better understanding of yourself and move towards the life you want. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don't have to know exactly what you need before reaching out. We can work that out together. If something here resonates with you, you're welcome to get in touch to explore whether I might be the right person to support you.

Training and qualifications

I'm a qualified psychotherapist with over six years' professional experience, working across private practice, NHS and charitable settings. I founded Serenity in 2019, initially providing counselling and psychotherapy, and have since expanded my work to include coaching and emotional wellbeing support. I hold an MA/PGDip in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of East London and a BSc (Hons) in Psychosocial Studies. My experience includes supporting adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, identity and self-esteem difficulties, relationship difficulties, workplace stress, burnout and periods of significant life change. I work integratively, drawing on CBT, psychodynamic, interpersonal, mindfulness-based and solution-focused approaches. I tailor the way I work to each individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. I have experience providing both short-term, focused therapeutic support and longer-term therapy, depending on the individual's needs and goals. I'm a BACP and ABCAP member.
