About me

Most people come to therapy because something in their life isn't working, even if they can't yet say what. You don't need to have it figured out. Together we'll take the time to understand what's going on for you, in a warm, confidential and non-judgmental space. I have a particular interest in how hormonal health affects emotional wellbeing. If you're living with PMDD, perimenopause or menopause, you may feel unlike yourself, or find that your mood, your sense of self and your relationships are under strain. I have specialist training in this area, and I'm passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves through greater understanding and compassion. I also work with relationship difficulties, bereavement, childhood abuse, panic attacks and a sense of being disconnected, and with adults who are autistic, have ADHD or are AuDHD.

Training and qualifications

I have over 10 years' experience as a psychotherapist. I have a special interest in working with clients who have PMDD, and who are struggling with symptoms relating to perimenopause and menopause, and continue to develop my expertise in this area. I'm also very interested in the interplay between hormonal conditions and neurodivergence. Many clients come to see me following a recent diagnosis to help them process what it means for them. Many are experiencing depression or anxiety - I work with them to help uncover what might be causing this. During my professional experience as a therapist, I've provided brief therapy to police officers and staff after traumatic events at the Metropolitan Police Service and worked with civil servants and others under high levels of work stress as an associate psychotherapist with Westminster Therapy Associates in central London. Before my formal training, I ran community groups for people with mental health difficulties in the charity sector. I trained at WPF Therapy, one of the UK's leading institutions for academic and clinical practice, where I gained a postgraduate diploma in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and went on to work in their time-limited therapy team. I'm registered with UKCP and keep my practice current through ongoing professional development. If you'd like to talk, get in touch to arrange a free, 15 minute initial conversation.
