About me

If you’re struggling under the weight of everything you’re trying to hold, you’ve come to the right place. I support those who are anxious, exhausted and overwhelmed: folk who need things to change, but don’t know where to start. I use trauma-focused psychotherapy to help you process challenging emotional and embodied states, and work through patterns that no longer serve you. As an ecotherapist, I work with nature, the land and the seasons to help you find the ground under your feet and bring yourself back into balance. I could be the right therapist for you if you recognise yourself in one or more of these: A people-pleaser who struggles to say no and establish healthy boundaries. Difficulty connecting with your anger. Easily flooded or overwhelmed by your own and others’ emotional states. In recovery from a controlling or abusive relationship. Late-identified ADHD / autistic / AuDHD and trying to process what this means for your identity and your life. Feeling frozen or collapsed in response to the climate and ecological crisis. My approach: First, we collaborate to build a relationship of trust and safety, and help you understand more about what's on your mind. We then work with the imprint of what's happened to you - both in your body, and in your stories about yourself. If you're coming with trauma, know that this work is tough and it can be a bumpy road. But over time, the work will empower you to live with more autonomy and clarity, help you form healthy and robust relationships with other people, and feel more at home in the world. Ecotherapy sessions often take place outdoors in nature, where we can directly make contact with the more-than-human world, and see what this might contribute to the session. The ecotherapy I offer is a different way of experiencing the natural world: rather than nature being a soothing backdrop, I invite you to consider that the other beings around us are in relationship with us - and that they might even have wisdom and knowledge to share. My other area of specialty is neurodivergence, particularly autism, ADHD, and AuDHD. I qualified as a neurodiversity life coach after discovering my own neurodivergence in my early 40s. I care deeply about helping other late-identified neurodivergent women/AFAB to process this discovery and make positive changes to your lives. There is a great deal of overlap between unrecognised neurodivergence and complex PTSD, and I'm particularly interested in offering support with this. I've also found that ecotherapy often works really well for neurodivergent folk - being able to move and explore outdoors can sometimes be a much better setting for therapy than sitting in a chair! Next steps If you think I could be a good fit, please send me a message to schedule a free call, so you can find out more about how I work and ask any questions you might have. If this feels good, we’ll have an initial session online, where you can see what therapy with me is like and we can discuss your needs in depth, including if you want to have therapy outdoors. In the first session, I'll also ask you about your current life and relationships, and your childhood and past experiences. There'll also be time to talk about logistics and money, so you can get the full picture of what you're committing to. After that, I'm happy for you to go away and have a think about it and then let me know what you've decided. Therapy is a big commitment of time, money and energy, and the relationship with me has to feel right. But if we click and you do decide to go ahead, I'll be with you through the tough times and the good times, until you're ready to move on.
