About me

I offer a warm, confidential, and compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe that beginning psychotherapy is a deeply personal journey. My aim is to create a comfortable, non-judgemental environment where you can take the time and space you need to explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships. I work from an attachment-based perspective, supporting adults aged 18 and over. My practice is based in Berkshire. I also offer online sessions. Whether you are considering psychotherapy for the first time and have questions about how it works, or you are already familiar with therapy and would like to explore something more deeply, I would be very happy to hear from you. Please feel free to get in touch. We can have an initial conversation about what has brought you to therapy and explore together whether psychotherapy might be right for you. My particular areas of interest are trauma and neglect, and the impact these experiences can have on an individual’s emotional wellbeing and relationships, both during childhood and later in life. I am interested in exploring how experiences from our past can continue to influence the present, including patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may have developed as ways of coping. Through psychotherapy, I aim to offer a compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, develop a deeper understanding of yourself and consider what you would like to change moving forward. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and am committed to providing a respectful, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic space. I welcome individuals with disabilities and recognise that everyone’s needs and circumstances are different. If you have a disability or accessibility requirement, please feel free to discuss this with me before or during our initial conversation. We can explore what adjustments or support may be helpful to enable you to feel as comfortable and supported as possible within the therapy setting.

Training and qualifications

My journey began as a qualified Social Worker before becoming a Psychotherapist, and I have always been passionate about supporting people to understand the roots of their difficulties and, together, find a way forward. I have over 12 years of experience working across a range of settings, including charities, local authorities and the NHS. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals and families experiencing a wide variety of challenges and life circumstances. My professional experience has enabled me to develop a deeper understanding of how our life experiences and relationships can shape our emotional wellbeing, influence how we see ourselves, and affect the way we relate to others. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental, and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. Together, we can work towards developing greater understanding, building confidence, and finding ways to navigate the challenges you may be facing. My approach is rooted in attachment-based psychoanalytic therapy, which allows us to explore how our early experiences and relationships can shape the way we understand ourselves and connect with others. Drawing on my background in social work, I also integrate approaches from CBT, DBT, Systemic, and Person-Centred therapy. I believe that every person is unique, and that therapy should be shaped around you rather than expecting you to fit into one particular approach. I therefore take an integrative and collaborative approach, working with you to understand what feels most helpful and meaningful for your individual needs. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and able to explore whatever you may be experiencing at your own pace.
