About me

You may have spent years being capable, responsible and there for other people, yet somewhere along the way you have lost touch with yourself. Perhaps you are questioning a relationship, struggling with anxiety or low mood, dealing with loss, or going through a period of change that has made you wonder who you are and what you want from the next stage of your life. I work primarily with women aged 35+, supporting them through the emotional and relational challenges that can emerge during this stage of life. These may include anxiety, depression and low mood, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, low self-worth, loneliness, identity and belonging, emotional exhaustion, life transitions and feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. I also have experience supporting clients experiencing self-harm and suicidal thoughts. My core approach is psychodynamic, which means that we look beyond immediate symptoms and become curious about the experiences and relationships that have shaped you. Together, we can explore recurring patterns — perhaps always putting other people first, finding it difficult to set boundaries, being very hard on yourself, repeating painful relationship dynamics, or feeling responsible for keeping everything together. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Gestalt therapy. This allows us to combine deeper understanding of your past with attention to your life today: how you relate to difficult emotions, what genuinely matters to you and how you would like to live going forward. My style is warm, compassionate and engaged. I won't simply sit silently while you talk. Therapy with me is collaborative: we think together, make connections and explore what may be difficult to see when you are dealing with everything on your own. Ultimately, my work is about helping you understand yourself with greater honesty and compassion, reconnect with your own needs and values, and have more freedom to live and relate to others in ways that feel genuinely yours.

Training and qualifications

I hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from Highgate Counselling Centre and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I also completed a Foundation Certificate in Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy at Tavistock Relationships and have undertaken further professional training through The Gestalt Centre London. I am currently undertaking a four-year psychotherapy training programme, which is further developing my integrative clinical practice. Alongside this, I undertake specialist training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Contextual Consulting. My continuing professional development therefore brings together psychodynamic psychotherapy, ACT, Gestalt and relational approaches, allowing me to work flexibly while maintaining a strong psychodynamic foundation. My clinical experience includes both organisational and private-practice settings, providing regular one-to-one psychotherapy to adults and working with both shorter- and longer-term therapeutic relationships. I currently combine my work as a counsellor at Highgate Counselling Centre with my independent private practice. I am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice and attend weekly clinical supervision to support safe, ethical and effective work with my clients.
