About me

My name is Amelia and I am a qualified and registered Gestalt counsellor working with individual adult clients, both in person and online. I know what it's like to live in a transient, fast paced city, trying to find a place where you can slow down and actually process what's happening in your life. So much of my work is about creating that space, somewhere that isn't rushed, isn't performative, and gives you room to be with whatever you're carrying. My approach is experimental and integrative. I draw on my Gestalt training as a foundation, but I don't believe therapy should look the same for every person, so I bring in different tools and ways of working depending on what actually helps you connect with yourself, whether that's through conversation, the body, creative methods, or simply sitting with what's present in the room. I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent adults, and I hold space that is patient, flexible, and genuinely responsive to how you experience the world, not a one size fits all model of therapy. If any of this resonates, I'd be glad to hear from you.
