About me

“If you treat an individual as he is, he will stay as he is, but if you treat him as if he were what he ought to be and what he could be, he will become what he ought to be and could be” (J. Wolfgang Von Goethe) Trying to find the absolutely 'right' therapist to walk alongside you through the journey of therapy can be confusing. Knowing that in this process, you may need to shed a few layers you have wrapped yourself with over the years for protection can feel daunting, and rightly so. Hi. My name is Yael. I am an integrative therapist with a wealth of clinical experience having worked in the NHS Mental Health services, and in the field of wellbeing and mental health for more than two decades. I am trained in a variety of approaches for the single reason that I don't believe that clients should be fitted into a model - rather, as a therapist, it is my job to know when to surface which type of skill, frame or model to meet your needs. Clients who approach me seek support on a range of issues, more specifically: anxiety, low mood, relationships, communication, confidence, imposter syndrome and burnout. I work particularly with professionals who seek to improve their wellbeing beyond their current experiences. In most, if not all cases, I find that eventually you may have come to the point that you wish things would feel and be different. You already know the pattern well, but you might need some help with learning how to finally break it and create something new for yourself and maybe evn those that you care about. Many times, we can blame ourselves as if we haven't tried to change things - when we have so many times. The fact is that changing old patterns of thoughts and behaviours isn't easy. And this is where having someone on your side - to listen fully but know when to challenge at the right place, at the right time with the right level of tension can be one of the best investments you can give yourself this year.
