About me
I’m a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 13 years’ experience, including my work within NHS Talking Therapies. Alongside my NHS role, I run my private practice, Inner Journey Therapy. I’m genuinely passionate about helping people feel heard, understood and accepted. I believe that having a safe, non-judgemental space to talk openly can be an important first step towards understanding yourself and making positive changes. My approach is person-centred, meaning I see you as an individual rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. I work collaboratively with you, drawing on my experience and training to help you explore your difficulties, recognise patterns that may be holding you back, and develop healthier ways of coping and relating to yourself and others. I support adults and couples with a range of difficulties, including depression, low mood, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma and life changes or transition and many more. I also have specialist training in Counselling for Depression (CfD) and Couple Therapy for Depression (CTfD). I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you have never spoken to a therapist before. My aim is to create a warm, compassionate and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself and work at a pace that feels right for you.
