About me

I offer psychotherapy for adults who may be struggling with anxiety, overthinking, stress, burnout, sleep difficulties, relationship problems, self-criticism, or a more general sense of feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. Sometimes we can find ourselves repeating the same patterns, reacting in ways we do not fully understand, or feeling caught between the person we are and the person we would like to be. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, make sense of what is happening beneath the surface, and begin to understand yourself with greater depth and compassion. My approach is warm, relational and collaborative. I am integratively trained and work mainly from a psychodynamic perspective, which means I am interested not only in what is happening for you now, but also in the experiences, relationships and patterns that may have shaped how you relate to yourself and others. I see therapy as a process of becoming more aware of the parts of ourselves that have developed over time- including ways of coping, protecting ourselves or relating to others that may once have been helpful, but no longer serve us in the same way. As these become better understood, they can begin to loosen their hold, creating more space for choice, self-trust and a way of living that feels more authentic to who you are. Over time, this can help you feel less governed by old patterns and more able to recognise what you need, understand your emotional life and respond to yourself and others with greater freedom and flexibility. I also have a particular interest in the relationship between emotional wellbeing, stress, sleep and the body. Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I have more than eight years’ experience working in sleep and respiratory medicine and currently work as a Senior Sleep Physiologist. This background has shaped my interest in insomnia and sleep difficulties, particularly where sleep becomes intertwined with anxiety, stress, overthinking or feeling constantly on alert. I work with adults in person in Canary Wharf, London, and online across the UK on a weekly basis.

Training and qualifications

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). Alongside my psychotherapy training, I have over eight years’ experience working in sleep and respiratory medicine and currently work as a Senior Sleep Physiologist in private healthcare. I have also contributed to published academic research relating to sleep. This combination of psychotherapy and clinical sleep experience supports my particular interest in the relationship between emotional wellbeing, stress, insomnia, sleep difficulties and the body.
