About me

People usually come to therapy because something no longer feels sustainable. Perhaps anxiety has become exhausting. A relationship has ended. Work has taken over your life. You’re questioning who you are, where you’re going, or simply feeling stuck. Whatever brings you here, my aim isn’t to offer quick answers or tell you how to live. Instead, I provide a space where we can think together with curiosity, honesty and compassion. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than twenty years as a Creative Director in advertising, working with people under constant pressure to perform, create and make important decisions. Alongside my professional experience, I’ve also spent more than twenty years in personal therapy myself. That experience has profoundly shaped how I understand the therapeutic relationship—not only as a practitioner, but also as someone who knows what it’s like to sit in the client’s chair. I’m also the founder of the Nightingale Hospital Peer Support Group, where I helped create a confidential space for mental health professionals to support one another. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress, identity, self-esteem, grief and the emotional impact of change. While many clients come from creative and professional backgrounds, you don’t need to work in those fields to benefit from therapy. Ultimately, I believe therapy isn’t simply about feeling better. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply, so that you can make choices that feel more genuinely your own.

Fee structure

Finding the right therapist matters. Before arranging a first session, I offer a complimentary 15-minute telephone or video conversation. It’s a chance for both of us to see whether working together feels right. If we decide to go ahead, our first meeting will be a full 50-minute session. I work with a sliding fee scale of £80–£125 per session. We’ll agree a fee together at the outset, taking into account your circumstances and my current availability, so that the arrangement feels fair and sustainable for both of us.

Training and qualifications

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am a Registered Member of the BACP (MBACP). While my training is integrative, my work is primarily grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, drawing on Transactional Analysis (TA), CBT and Gestalt where helpful to meet each client’s needs. Alongside my formal training, I bring more than twenty years of experience in personal therapy as a client, which has profoundly shaped my understanding of the therapeutic relationship. I am also the founder of the Nightingale Hospital Peer Support Group, providing a confidential space for mental health professionals to support one another.
