About me
I am a fully qualified Humanistic Counsellor drawing on Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis approaches. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to its Ethical Framework, which places compassion and profound respect for each individual’s unique lived experience at the centre of therapeutic work. Whatever the situation, question, feeling, or life event brings you here today, be assured that every part of your story is welcomed and will be handled with care and respect during our work together. My experience includes working with clients who face difficulties with: - relationships - loneliness - understanding of self, identity, and self-worth - neurodiversity - burnout - immigration and cross-cultural issues - infertility - chronic illness (living with, or caring for) - loss - bereavement - trauma - depression and anxiety My corporate background supports my understanding of work-related issues such as burnout, performance anxiety, bullying, and work-life balance. My life experience of living in different countries and cultures informs my understanding of challenges related to immigration and cross-cultural relationships (be it romantic, with families, or at work). I am a neurodiversity-informed practitioner; I view neurodivergence as a natural trait of human diversity and fully welcome all of its expressions in the therapeutic space. I believe everyone possesses a natural potential for growth and change. When life brings challenges, we adapt the best we can in that moment. However, those survival strategies can sometimes become heavy burdens that hold us back. This might manifest as feeling stuck or hopeless, or through anger, shame, self-criticism, or doubt. At times, you may feel as if something is not right, but it is just too difficult to even put into words. The good news is that together, we can gently explore your story and how you learned to navigate life and protect yourself. We can then work towards finding acceptance for where you have been and create new choices for your future, empowering you to shift toward a life that feels genuinely yours. I cannot "fix" you because your healing power belongs uniquely to you. But you will not have to walk this path alone. I will be right by your side, sharing my experience to support you in uncovering the inner strength and equilibrium you already hold within.
