About me

My core training is in psychodrama psychotherapy which helps us connect to our body. My approach is to listen to you carefully so I learn what you need to feel safe. Sometimes clients know exactly what they want to explore in therapy and why they've come. For others, there might be more of a teasing out process. Both are valid, and through working together, we allow what needs to come out in therapy to emerge. Sometimes, I help my clients challenge limiting beliefs they hold about themselves. Sometimes we work on healing unconscious trans-generational patterns. We might also look at how different parts of ourselves can feel in conflict, and how to make space for a more authentic, whole self to be expressed. Every journey I take with my clients is different. However, at heart, I help my clients pay attention to over-looked or neglected feelings and experiences in order to gain insights. Attending to what is uncovered in a curious and caring way can help clients reframe how they see themselves and their story, and lead to lasting change. For some people, it might mean finding the courage to voice what they really want, and take a step towards it. For others the work might be around bearing to be challenged, developing resilience and in time an ability to sustain meaningful connections. Anchored more in their body and their authentic experience, I help my clients move forward with renewed momentum. I trained for 6 years at London Centre for Psychodrama, during which time I worked in the NHS and set up a community therapy group. I ran this for 5 years. I continuously attend professional development courses. I have a rich, mindful self-compassion practice which infuses my work.
