About me
My practice is integrative, drawing on both the humanistic and psychodynamic schools of therapy. This means that I hold the client/therapist relationship at the core of what I do, offering clients empathy, kindness and an environment free of judgement. I also believe that much of our behaviour stems from our past relationships and upbringing, and exploring this together can help clients understand why they feel the way they do. Knowing ourselves better enables the development of self-acceptance, leading to an improvement in our relationships, our resilience in dealing with what life can throw at us, and making better choices. I am a graduate of Roehampton University where I have an MA in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I have also worked for the NHS, Waterloo Community Counselling and Six, the mental health and addiction charity. Previous to working as a therapist I had a long career working within media organisations so am well placed to help with career-related problems too.
