About me

Welcome, I am Gemma, an Integrative Psychotherapist and Integrative Arts Psychotherapist. Coming to therapy is a big step, and building a trusted connection is vital. Together, we can explore what brings you to therapy at a pace which feels natural to you. Through being in relationship, we can create a sense of safety so you can unravel what may feel hidden. In speaking your truth with another and feeling deeply heard, a levity or shift can be felt, and another way of being can emerge. What to expect in our sessions? Sessions take place either in-person or online. They are 50 minutes and usually weekly. Sessions are a shared process of listening and communicating. Our dialogue sits between us, at the centre of our connection and the healing process. Alongside this, we have the added use of the arts and our creative processes. Whether through clay, drawing, or working with metaphors and symbols, expressing oneself creatively can help to explore emotions or memories that may feel messy or confusing. I have found, through both personal experience and in the therapeutic relationship with clients, that it is the imagery which we produce ourselves that serves as an inner wisdom, helping us make sense of our experiences and navigate through times when the path ahead is difficult to see. My experience I have experience supporting clients facing a wide range of difficulties. This includes supporting those struggling with anxiety, low mood, relational issues, self-esteem, questions around gender and sexuality, neurodivergence, terminal illness, trauma, and mental health diagnoses. If you would like to have a conversation and share what brings you to therapy, please do get in touch.
