About me

Many of the people I work with struggle with anxiety, insecurity, overthinking, relationship difficulties, or patterns they cannot seem to break. Often, this is combined with coping patterns such as people-pleasing, constant busyness, perfectionism, and pushing through, sometimes alongside addictions or compulsions. You may long to feel more present and connected to yourself, to develop greater self-trust and confidence, and to build more mutual, nurturing relationships. I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with a background in psychosynthesis, as well as somatic and trauma-informed approaches to therapy. I am passionate about creating a safe container in which you can get in touch with your emotions, beliefs, different parts, values, and intuitive wisdom and knowledge. I have experience supporting individual adults, as well as teenagers and children, in private practice, low-cost counselling services, and charity settings. Many of the people I have worked with have experienced a sense of being out of touch with their emotions and body, feeling stuck or disoriented in life, carrying past wounds or trauma that still impact their present-day lives, or feeling dysregulated and lonely, not knowing where to turn for support. As an immigrant in a cross-cultural relationship, and as a sensitive, creative person, I have worked with many clients from mixed cultural backgrounds or in cross-cultural relationships, and I bring a culturally sensitive approach. I also have experience working with high achievers, people in the creative industries, and sensitive and neurodivergent people. I often find that, across these groups, there is a common thread of having learned strong skills in adapting, often at the expense of meeting their own needs, including sensing limits and boundaries. I am particularly interested in helping you find ways to get in touch with your authentic voice and self-expression, while following a compassionate and trauma-informed approach that validates whatever strategies have helped you get to this point in your life. As an intuitive person with lived experience of neglecting my body and keeping myself distracted for many years because I did not know how to express my authentic self in my environment, I am passionate about helping people reconnect with and strengthen their own inner compass and self-knowledge. I believe that when we truly listen to ourselves, slow down, and make space inside, we can access the answers within us. I see it as an honour to accompany people on this path. ----------- MY APPROACH My work is integrative, somatic and relational. I value what has got you this far, as well as what is difficult and painful. I am interested in your story, your relationships, your values, and the different parts of you that may be asking to be heard. Many people come to therapy already understanding their patterns cognitively, yet still feel that something has not shifted. This is why I work not only with your story and insight, but also with what happens in the body and nervous system in the present moment. In a session, I weave together different approaches to help you get in touch with your felt experience and build a deeper connection with yourself. We might explore how different parts of you pull you in different directions or keep you stuck, what situations or relationships no longer serve you, and how your body carries difficult and traumatic experiences and memories while also being a resource for safety, grounding, and connection. This can involve noticing sensations, grounding, experimenting with posture and movement, working with images, or using guided journeys. We may also pay attention to your nervous system and to what helps you stay present with difficult feelings without becoming overwhelmed. I may further pay attention to the dynamics unfolding between us, as these can reflect relational patterns that show up elsewhere in your life. Exploring this openly and carefully can help build trust and create new possibilities in how you relate to yourself and others. I will always introduce embodied or creative work with care and respect for your choices and readiness. My aim is to create a safe, warm atmosphere where you can share what feels important without being pushed. Over time, therapy can support deeper self-understanding, greater self-trust, clearer boundaries, and a more accepting and truthful relationship with yourself. MY STYLE Generally, clients experience me as gentle, empathetic and caring. However, I will also challenge you where I believe this is useful. Some clients benefit from more guidance and structure, while others need more space for self-exploration. I usually allow for both and will work with you together to see what works best for you. ------------------- SESSIONS & GETTING STARTED I work with adults and teenagers (16+) online and in London Bridge. I offer a free initial call to discuss your needs and share more about how I work. It is a chance to see whether I am the right person to support you and whether you feel comfortable working with me. If you decide to begin therapy, we will start with an introductory assessment session in which I will ask about your current situation, your upbringing, and other experiences that have shaped your life. These early conversations are opportunities for us to get to know each other without any further commitment. If you then wish to continue, we can agree on a set number of sessions or move into an open-ended arrangement. If any of this resonates, I would be glad to hear from you. You can reach out via email or book an initial call through my website.
