About me
I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy in Wimbledon and online across the UK for adults who may appear outwardly coping yet privately feel unsettled. This can take many forms: anxiety or low mood that does not fully make sense, burnout, repeating relationship difficulties, or a growing sense that familiar ways of coping are no longer enough. People often begin therapy following something specific such as grief, redundancy, relationship strain or a period of change. At other times, there is no single event, but a more persistent sense that something feels off beneath the surface of daily life. My approach is depth-oriented, reflective and collaborative. Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, I work with clients to understand the emotional and relational patterns shaping how they experience themselves, other people and the wider demands of life. This includes exploring what may sit beneath persistent self-criticism, over-functioning, emotional pressure or difficulties in relationships. I work in weekly sessions, offering a consistent space in which we can think more carefully about what is happening beneath the surface and how familiar patterns continue over time. The work is suited to people who are looking not simply for reassurance or coping strategies, but for a fuller understanding of themselves and the patterns that keep recurring. Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in professional environments, which informs my understanding of the emotional and psychological meaning of performance, pressure, responsibility and identity. The availability shown is indicative and can be discussed at the point of enquiry. In-person sessions are offered subject to room availability and, once agreed, are then booked on a regular weekly basis. Early morning and evening appointments as well as over the weekend are primarily offered online following an initial in-person session.
