About me

I became a therapist after experiencing my own therapy during a time when I had lost my career and felt uncertain about who I was or what came next. That period was difficult, but it also gave me a clear understanding of what it feels like to be met by someone who can stay with you in uncertainty without rushing you or trying to fix things. It showed me the value of being properly heard and understood, especially when life feels like it has shifted in ways you did not choose. That experience shaped the way I work today. I aim to offer the kind of space where you can slow things down, make sense of what you are going through, and feel less alone in it. I am not there to provide quick answers but to support you in finding your own meaning at your own pace. I specialise in supporting adults experiencing trauma, addiction, neurodiversity including ADHD and autism, and LGBTQ+ related experiences. I also have experience working with people in emotional distress through crisis support work, which has strengthened my ability to stay steady and present with strong feelings and difficult moments. I live with ME/CFS and CRPS which gives me a lived understanding of chronic illness and how it can affect energy, pain, and daily functioning. This informs a grounded and realistic approach, particularly for people who are feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or limited by long term physical or emotional strain. Alongside this I hold a qualification in addiction support and have completed training in neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ affirming practice. I aim to offer a warm, non-judgemental and collaborative space where you feel respected and able to be yourself. At the heart of my practice is a belief in the importance of a consistent therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and not judged. I bring both professional training and lived experience of therapy into how I sit with clients now, supporting you at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you
